Pastor Henry

Rev. Dr. Henry Everitt is the Pastor of Discipleship for Central Houston Methodist Church, a new church planted by the Global Methodist Church.  A native of Huntsville, AL, he received his B.S., M.A., and Ph.D. degrees in Physics from Duke University between 1981 and 1990.  He has worked for the Army as a scientist and senior technologist since 1991 and performs research in optics, laser spectroscopy, and nanotechnology.  An adjunct professor of electrical and computer engineering at Rice University and an adjunct professor of physics at Duke University, he has mentored dozens of student researchers and taught classes in Astronomy, Physics, and Chemistry.  He entered the ministry in the United Methodist Church in 2016 and served churches in Alabama and Texas as a part time associate pastor until 2023 when he joined the Global Methodist Church and was ordained a deacon.  He and his wife Patricia are new to Texas, having been sent to Houston by the Army in 2021 to perform research at Rice University.  They have three grown children and seven grandchildren.

Cara Lozano

Cara has been in education for 27 years, in the classroom and most recently as a preschool director. She thinks that working with children is such a joy – and that joy is evident as she works with the kids and youth of CHMC. Being a part of their Christian walk fills her heart.

Josh Moore

Josh Moore is an Emmy Award Winning and Grammy Award Nominated musician, songwriter and record producer from Houston. He grew up at Houston’s Second Baptist Church, where his parents were on staff and he also went to school. Josh joined the band Caedmon’s Call at 16 and finished high school on the road. After attending Belmont University in Nashville, he began writing and producing music professionally. Josh was the Worship Leader at Ecclesia Houston and then the Director of Worship Arts at City Church Houston. But most importantly, he is the Husband of Keely James Moore, and Dad to Baxter, Simon, and Oslo.
